Apsara always had a special affinity for the spiritual, and her path to being a yogi was as organic as it was incidental.Her first official yoga class at age 22 lit a dormant inexplicable passion within, and her journey acquired shape and depth from there. Apsara is a certified teacher with World Yoga Organisation as well as Yoga Alliance. She is fortunate to have learned the Ashtanga practice directly from Mysore with Ramesh ji, a lifetime member of the Mysore Yoga Association as well as from Ravi and Shrimathy, exceptional teachers and founders of Ashtanga Vinyasa Chennai. Apsara has taught workshops in Bangalore, Chennai and Mysore, and continues to teach at a global scale through her featured online classes in collaboration with the French NGO, Sikana TV. Her classes have been featured on brands and wellness networks such as Decathlon, Aditya Birla Health Insurance, Aalaap, Medall, Phable Care, Ava PCOS, and Aadar Ayurveda to name a few. In 2019, she had the honour of being invited to present a talk on ‘Yoga as a Modern Day Practice’ at Saveetha Institute of Medical Sciences in association with Harvard Medical School and Boston’s Children’s Hospital. Apsara currently lives in Chennai, India and teaches at her school, Aham Yogashala. To help people stay healthy at home during the COVID-19 crisis, Apsara now holds classes online for students in India and from across the globe, including the US, Canada and Australia. Apsara sees nothing as external to her studies. She believes there is much to learn in the seemingly ordinary world of plants and animals. She is excited, humbled and honored to spread her love of yoga worldwide and is grateful for all her teachers and students.

The Art of Balance | Yoga Essentials
The Art of Balance Graphy is designed to initiate people into the practice of yoga, and even to deepen one’s already existing practice. Each creative sequence will light up every muscle in your body as you synchronize the breath with powerful movement. Each chapter follows with a harmonious sequence of classical postures, including forward folds, backbends, twists, inversions, and arm balances. We aim at holding poses longer and steadier, keeping an awareness of the breath and the inner body.This is a perfect opportunity to listen a little more deeply and find an active stillness in the postures so that on the mat or off it, it becomes a little easier to be present. By the end of the graphy, practitioners will be able to: - Learn how to combine breath with movement - The fundamentals of asana practice with close attention to alignment - Modify the asanas and sequences to best suit their body - Deepen their focus with pranayama and meditation practice - Build a safe home practice
